Stuttering intervention in children: an integrative literature review

ABSTRACT Purpose: to describe intervention methodologies implemented in recent years stuttering children. Methods: a search was performed for empirical articles on interventions children aged 2.5 7 years. The carried out Embase, WOS, Pubmed, and Scopus, considering published between January 2014 June 2020. Literature Review: 11 were selected of the 1,099 retrieved. Different approaches observed, which Lidcombe program showed most evidence. Most studies conducted English-speaking participants assessed regarding linguistic non-linguistic aspects. All considered parental involvement intervention. No investigation took measurements more than 24 months. Individual predominated. Conclusion: good therapeutic results found all reviewed interventions. Research comparing two types treatments did not find one be superior other.
